"We felt that the installation of what will be the annual John Ross Award for Theater Excellence was the right thing to do based on John Andrew Ross' many contributions over the years to raise the bar of excellence in Community Theater. It is a small thing for a man that has given so much," stated Haywood Fennell, Sr., Artistic Director of the Oscar Micheaux After School Theater program based at the Blackstone Community Center.
